Hello there!
My journey into film began in childhood, fueled by a love of theater. My parents took me to countless shows, and I fell in love with the magic of storytelling—how we bring characters and worlds to life, allowing audiences to fully immerse themselves.
I started painting sets for local community theaters at 13 and continued throughout high school. In 2019, I began working on productions for my local school theater departments, where I built, designed, and painted sets.
In 2021, I joined a scenic construction shop, learning hand drafting and construction techniques, while keeping my passion for painting alive. This experience also allowed me to explore prop-making. At the same time, I worked in a costume shop, where I honed my skills in alterations, pattern cutting, and garment creation.
After working for a theater company in the Chicago area from 2021 to 2022, I realized that while I loved theater design, I wanted to shift toward the more intimate, detail-driven design style that film offers. In 2023, I began pursuing my dream of designing for film. Since then, I’ve worked on over 20 films, including two feature films.
What I love most about working in the art department is not just the art itself, but the collaboration. The sense of family that forms on film sets and the lifelong friendships I’ve made along the way are invaluable to me. I can’t wait to keep designing for as long as I live.
Here’s to the next project!
